Deya Dova is a vocalist and electronic producer native to Australia's Nullarbor desert, now based near Byron Bay. She taught herself to sing in the Australian desert, sitting on the Earth beneath vast horizon lines and immense starscapes.
Her music fuses the earthy sensuality of her voice with the futurist sounds of Global Bass. Ancient tribal songlines and evocative storytelling meet cinematic soundscapes, heavy bass and beats, creating a mystical, temple-like atmosphere and a euphoric, primal energy on the dancefloor. She is among the world's few female electronic producers.
For about a decade she felt called back to the origins of her music making: recording Earth songs live in nature, along the energy lines of the planet. She sings in direct response to the landscape, in a state of deep listening to Mother Earth, as an exploration of sound mapping with the voice, field recording and connection with the Earth's energetic system. The journey has taken her to record at more than 100 ancient sacred sites and Earth energy centres. She has released a music collection from the first seven years of this work, with more music to come.
Together with her husband and co-producer, Hamilton Barnett, she tours internationally, playing festivals and venue events around the world.

Worth Knowing
Deya Dova is an Australian healing music artist and electronic music producer who has spent the last decade recording vocal meditations at sacred Earth energy sites around the world. Growing up in the remote Nullarbor desert of South Australia, she taught herself music by firelight under vast star-scapes—an origin story that infuses her work with a deep connection to landscape and planetary consciousness. Since 2014, she has recorded live in nature at 44 locations across the globe, responding to what she describes as the Earth's energy lines and the healing frequencies embedded in these ancient places. Her approach bridges two worlds: the ancient practice of songlines (the Indigenous Australian navigational and spiritual narratives encoded in song) and contemporary Global Bass production, co-created with her husband Hamilton Barnett. Listeners and meditation practitioners follow her work because it offers something rare in healing music—a voice rooted in real geography and geomancy rather than studio abstraction, paired with electronic production that speaks to contemporary consciousness.
