Daniel Bellone

Daniel Bellone is an Argentine-born singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, devoted to Sanskrit mantra and kirtan. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1981. His music is built around what he calls "music beyond entertainment": ancient mantras joined with modern sounds, reaching toward personal growth, spiritual connection and wellbeing.

At 23, Daniel experienced a mystical awakening that led him on a pilgrimage to India. He describes spending 11 years there in intensive training with Vedic monks, including scriptural study, devotional initiation and years of group practice learning to hold space and lead collective chanting. Out of that time came his calling to share circles of sacred music with others.

He has taught since 2010. Between 2014 and 2025 he performed more than 400 concerts, workshops and retreats in over 30 countries. He also teaches Sanskrit mantra through his online Mantra Academy, which offers courses and guided meditations on learning to chant, understand and live these sounds.

His catalog includes the albums Kamadah, Kunjara and Sacred Chants of a Lifetime, the last made in 2024 with composer Craig Pruess. He has also collaborated with Donna De Lory and Wah! on the single Saraswati. Daniel has been a voting member of the Recording Academy since 2022.

On his YouTube channel he describes mantra as a way of meditation, and bhakti, the yoga of devotion, as a path to unwinding stress and feeling more connected through music. He describes his mantras as energizing, modern and rich in instrumentation, where "modern music meets ancient power".
